We've just recently got back from a week long sailing holiday in France with my Family.
We started off in the town of Trebeurden, and I think this was one of everyone's favourites as there's such lovely places to go and visit and things for everyone of all ages to do.
On the first day we walked across to a low tide access island. Watching a sailing school bob out across the water and admiring the panoramic views as we went.
Although we were firmly in the north of France, there was something very Mediterranean about this holiday, with dry dusty pathways, stone houses and bright blue seas.
Back on the mainland we claimed our reward, our first gallettes of the year, they were made by a wonderful couple who seemed to be there any time of day or night and for very very reasonable prices! This is the complet gallette with jambon, fromage et oeuf - and its one of the best things i've ever eaten. Gallettes are made with buckwheat flour which seems to go better with savoury dishes but is also gluten free!
