Haytor Heights | Devon

A family walk on Dartmoor is pretty much tradition for us. Dartmoor is beautiful, but it can be extremely breezy! Still, a built in wind machine has its advantages when it comes to taking blog photos..
These were taken atop Haytor - arguably the most famous of Dartmoor's tors. To get to the top you have to scramble up steps that were carved into the granite by the Victorians - taking care as you do not to bump into any of the other climbers milling over them.

Finding a pony or two is pretty much a given when up on the moors, these sturdy little things are pretty tame from the amounts of tourists that pass through here patting them.

Moor posts soon!
