Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea is so very British, and I couldn't love it more.

Last week the boyfriend H and I spontaneously decided to go for tea at the cathedral refectory in town. We didn't want a big heavy lunch and also wanted tea, so this was perfect! Sitting out in the sun in the refectory's pretty little garden was such a lovely afternoon activity.

 So beautiful, I love that it was served on this proper tea tray with the three layers. The staff were very generous with the portions and although it says it serves two, I think if you're just looking for something light, it could easily serve four!

Cream tea is one of my all time favourite meals.. and although it does contain gluten its something I just cant give up!
